Hive Tyrant
Tyranids This model was my latest creation and one of my best to date. I took my time and worked on this model for about 3 months. I spent an hour or two every night after work and also put in the time for details I normally get bored doing. I am very pleased with the final result and hope this creation inspires you to try your hands at scratch built work. For me the most difficult process was developing the devourers. I wanted something very alien looking, yet organic. I also wanted the creature to look like it was fusing with the tyrant but could also rip free if the best needed to evolve to face a new threat. This was influenced by the ALIEN queen where she tore free from her egg sack in the movie. The end result is shown here and I feel captures this effect. Previous Gallery Next Gallery
